Wyatt is amazing me with his jump in his german reading. He struggled for quite a while, but they got him extra help at school and I've made him practice more at home, so he seems to be doing much better! Yay! I am truly amazed by him everyday!

Tess was so cute today. I bought some clothes line clips in hopes of using them on chips, crackers, etc. bags to keep them fresh. Almost immediately Tess was obsessed with them and the basket they came in. All the pretty colors! So today we had to get all her doll clothes out (thankfully we are having a gorgeous spring day and it was so warm we didn't even need jackets) and we washed them by hand outside, well Tess did while I supervised while reading... :). She then hung them all up on the clothesline daddy made for her. They were still kind of dirty so we had to do it again. It kept her occupied and happy for quite a few hours, which is good since she is so bored every morning in the childcare at my german class. I am beginning to feel guilty about taking her. I tried to get her to do other things in with the other children, but now she prefers to come and sit quietly by me and draw and color. Such a dilemma... bored 4 year old or not learn german? Either way she really is bored when we stay home.. there's not much to do here either besides watch tv while I clean or help me clean which she likes to do also. At least she and I are getting out of the house and doing something and I am hoping it will help her with some of her irrational fear she has developed of noises.

New to this...
Okay, so I am finally breaking down and trying blogging. I have a bit of time, well sort of. And anyway, I can't find any of my journals or babybooks and there are things I want to write down about this move before I forget them. Tess and Wyatt are growing so fast and going through so much it's amazing. Wyatt is surprising me so much with his adjustment to attending a school that is spoken in a language he does not understand and kids/potential friends he doesn't understand. He is so cute about it. He is so upbeat (most of the time -- after he's woken up a bit in the morning) and says he will make friends soon. He told me the other day little girl in a horsey dress followed him around all day! We teased him and said she must like him and he got all embarrassed -- it was so cute. Leksy had been telling us about the adventures she's been having with a boy in her new school that likes her. He is dutch! How funny is that? He didn't even know she had lived there and used to be able to speak dutch fluently. Sometimes that makes me sick to think that she has completely forgotten it all.
As you can see I am a rambler. There will be no point. I just want a place to ramble my thoughts down. We are determined that this time we will all learn the language and remember it when we leave! We have met some great people here and just love it so far -- aside from the houise in shambles and the basement not finished yet. But the carpet layers come next week and then we can finally get organized! Yea!
I wanted specifically to write some of the cute things Tess has been doing but of course now can't remember any of them, except how great her german is coming. She copies everything theysay onn the german cd we listen to all the time! And of course knows how to tell me no in German! They both learne that one quickly.
